Easy Miso Udon

Ingredients

  • 1 pack udon noodles
  • 250 ml water
  • 1 tablespoon dash powder
  • 2 tablespoons miso paste
  • 1 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup sliced shiitake mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup sliced carrot
  • Optional toppings sliced tofu, shripms, sliced kamaboko (fish cake), nori seaweed, and sesame seeds.half boil egg

Instructions

  • Start by bringing a pot of water to a boil. Once the water is boiling, add udon noodles to the pot and let them cook for 6-7 minutes.
  • Once the noodles are fully cooked, drain and rinse them in cold water.
  • Add sliced shiitake mushrooms and carrots to the pot and let them cook.
  • For a traditional miso udon broth, simmer miso paste with dashi powder, water, and soy sauce for 10 minutes.
  • Add the shrimp to the pot and let them cook for further 3minutes.
  • To serve, ladle the miso broth over the noodles and garnish with sliced tofu, egg, kamaboko, nori seaweed, and sesame seeds if desired.
