Some common mistakes that people make when making homemade potato chips include:
- Not slicing the potatoes thinly enough. If the potato slices are too thick, they may not crisp up properly in the oven.
- Not draining the potatoes properly after steaming. Excess moisture can make the chips soggy instead of crispy.
- Overcrowding the baking sheet. Leaving too little space between the potato slices can result in uneven cooking and soggy chips.
- Not seasoning the chips enough. While homemade potato chips can be healthy without added salt, you may still want to season them with other baby superfood powder to add flavor.
- Not baking the chips long enough. If the chips are not fully cooked, they will be soft and may not hold their shape well.
By avoiding these common mistakes and following the recipe closely, you can create perfectly crispy, healthy homemade potato chips every time.
